As part of the pilot project Innovative Livestock Manure Application Practices (funded under Measure 16 Cooperation, 6th public call for Sub-measure 16.2: Support for pilot projects and the development of new products, practices, processes and technologies under the 2014–2020 Rural Development Programme), the project partners jointly produced a range of materials presenting project results and practical solutions that can make a substantial contribution to efficiency, cost-effectiveness and environmental protection in the field of slurry application.
The main objective of the project was to develop solutions to address challenges associated with the application of liquid livestock manure. In rural areas, disagreements often arise among residents because of unpleasant odours generated during slurry spreading. At the same time, farmers face increasingly narrow time windows for applying livestock manure, whether because of weather and field conditions or regulatory restrictions.
Further materials and additional project information are available on the website of the lead project partner, Žipo Lenart d.o.o.
