Healthy Soil and Water: SACA on Ljudje in zemlja

On 6 September 2026, the RTV Slovenija programme Ljudje in zemlja highlighted the importance of healthy and resilient soils in addressing drought and the growing need for irrigation.

The key message is simple: irrigation alone cannot solve the challenge if soils are unable to effectively absorb and retain water. Soil cover, good soil structure, organic matter, and adapted conservation agriculture practices can significantly contribute to more efficient water use.
