Project title
Inter-row Cover Crops for Healthy Plants and Sustainable Soil Management
Brief project description
The project aims to develop sustainable agricultural practices using inter-row cover crops that improve soil fertility and plant health while increasing crop resilience to climate change. Practical trials and advanced technologies will facilitate the direct transfer of knowledge into farming practice and improve the environmental and economic sustainability of agricultural holdings.
Project objectives and results
The project will help improve plant health and resilience to climate change, increase soil fertility and humus content, reduce dependence on chemical inputs, and optimise the use of natural resources such as water, nutrients and light. It will also promote local self-sufficiency and sustainable rural development, strengthening the resilience of local communities and improving their food security.
